<p>Hmm, so I've put off my Oxy app till today (the last day), and I'm thinking of just not doing it. Pomona is a pretty clear top pick for me, and Oxy would be somewhat of a safety school (though not to degrade it's prestige in calling it that). Anyway, if you could read my commonapp essay over and tell me if you think it's Pomona-worthy, I'd be grateful. Please be honest, as I'm pretty much gunna judge whether or not to apply to Oxy based on the feedback I get... yea, I really did just say that. </p>
<p>My stats/ involvement/ supplemental essay seem to be up to par, maybe even birdie (too cheesy?). It's just the personal statement I'm having second thoughts about. </p>

<p>Just apply to Oxy is my advice. Better to have one more option in April than one less. And if Oxy is a safety school for you, then you won’t have to worry about your app too much.</p>
<p>True, but Oxy’s supplement has 4 essays I’d have to write (1500 or 2000 character limits, but still a lot of writing). Thanks to my procrastination, I’d have to do that all today, along with regular schoolwork. Not to mention the nominal fee…</p>
