i understand nyu's econ is one of the elite in the country.
could i have purposely selected some major not that competitve (ex: german) and purposely switched it to econ for the sake of it???</p>

<p>Yes you could’ve, but are you sure you’re not talking about Stern? Because I know that Stern is very hard to get into, and I’m not sure if you could transfer from CAS to Stern. But you could definitely switch majors around in the same school!

not, but there are two separate econ programs at cas and stern. they just have different requirements and classes. stern is solely business related as cas is a wide variety of sorts.</p>
