<p>I applied to Northwestern and their HPME program. However in order to get into program, you need to get into the school. Yesterday I recieved in the mail, sadly I guess, a rejection letter (not too harsh or antyhing) for the program.</p>
<p>Does this indirectly mean that I got into the school, since you can only get into the program by getting into the school first??</p>

<p>I don’t think you can read anything into this as to your chances of getting in to NU. The HPME program is very small and super selective. Plenty of kids don’t get selected for the HPME interviews but get into NU. Good luck!</p>
<p>I agree, they interview very few people, plus with such a late reject foe the interview, you may have been a stand-by for the interview, if they has an extra slot. Best of luck!</p>
