Is this a rigorous junior year schedule?

AP Biology
Chemistry
AP US History
AP English Lang
Algebra II/Trig

This is going to be my first year taking any type of AP class, is this going to be a drastic change from only one honors class last year? Is this a good schedule to have to be admitted to a selective university?

Yeah, its perfect to get admitted; however my advice to you is to pass the AP exams and not just with 3s try to get 4s and 5s if you can! I graduated number 11 in my class, and most of the top ten kiddos took rigorous honor courses but failed their AP tests, so if you do great in the classes and pass your AP exams, colleges will love you!

No foreign language?

@skieurope‌, I am going to take Spanish IV senior year (it’s the highest foreign language we have), I would rather take two science courses next year because it is my favorite subject. Do you think I should be taking Spanish IV rather than a second science class?

@oboemedicalguy64‌, thank you for your input! I’ll try my hardest to get 4s and 5s on my exams.

I think you should take Spanish IV next year instead of that 2nd science class because wouldn’t it be a struggle to have a year gap between Spanish III and Spanish IV? Wouldn’t you have to reteach yourself all the Spanish you learned.

@Animefan1998‌ well my school is really small and I’m close with my Spanish teacher and she said the class isn’t very difficult and she’d be able to help me keep sharp with my spanish skills.

buuuump

why only 5 classes? what is the normal number of classes at your school?

@guineagirl96‌ i left out study hall, lunch, pe and studio art II
