Hi,

I just discovered Kenyon College (I am class of 2012). Are they a safety school for most people? Are they very selective?

Hi,

I just discovered Kenyon College (I am class of 2012). Are they a safety school for most people? Are they very selective?

Thank you.

It's not a safety for most people who go there. I guess it would depend on what your stats are before you could consider it a safety, but it's among the top 20 LAC's.

:(

Oh. It probably is a safety school for me; but is it true that schools other than the Ivy League are "highly competitive"?

Thanks.

Of course it's true. I have a friend who didn't get into BC or Georgetown but got in to BRown.

well i have 2400 SAT and top 5% class rank, but I am an international requiring a lot of financial aid. Will Kenyon be a safety, match or reach for me?

Awaiting-college...please don't apply to Kenyon. You are either too lazy to check one college stats website/book or a Troll.

Please. Don't waste people's time with moronic questions. You know perfectly well that there are plenty of colleges other than Ivy league schools that are highly selective.

Kenyon has an acceptance rate of approximately 30%. It is NOT a safety school by any means. Our biggest overlaps in applications include Oberlin, Brown, Denison, Yale, and Haverford.

dear awaiting college..why exactly are you considering kenyon if you cants even recognize a good thing when you see it...remember, kenyon is for intellcetual people, not simply smart people...open your eyes ...thanks...

i am reallllly interested in Kenyon. i have been recieving a lot of information from them. i just wanted to know what some people who got in recieved on their SATs, and GPAs?

This Kenyon website has that info and a bit more: http://www.kenyon.edu/x1658.xml

Oh be nice guys, its a kid you’re dealing with. Honestly, Awaiting - I’d say the top 5 -10 Liberal Arts colleges are AS competitive as the Ivies and a better bet for a undergraduate education. Kenyon is a great school, and these days none of the top 25 Liberal arts could really qualify as a traditional “safety.” High Scores and good grades are pre-requisites at all these places, but that’s not how they decide.

I ate kids for breakfast at Kenyon ;)

OMG, ogre! Kidding, kidding. :)

Kenyon’s a safety for no one, mate.
