Is This A Sign I Did Not Get In?

Hi guys. As you probably know decision day is just around the corner (December 10th) and i’m sure you are all freaking out, I am too. About a week ago i decided to check my financial aid after seeing that some of you posted about it . Sadly, I see that my mom somehow missed two items, so I have 2 items that still say ‘initiated’. Anyhow, Cornell never emailed me/called me asking me to complete the financial aid, and supposedly they did for some people? Is that a sign that they won’t even bother because I am not accepted anyhow? ugh…RIP Dream School 2k15.

Also they did not ask for my first quarter grades and i only have a 3.8 UW.
:frowning:

they don’t ask for first quarter grades

@lolog123 Ugh i should have just sent them. I’m taking only APs and got As as my first quarter grades. O well nothing I can do now.

@Munsch don’t worry about it too much

Have your guidance office send the grades tomorrow. And, no, the FA is not indicative of a decision. If the FA info is not complete, that just means you will not receive a FA decision along with your ED acceptance.

@lolog123 yes, Cornell does in fact want your first Q grades if applying ED. Don’t give out misinformation. They will call your GC if they haven’t been sent.

You can’t read too much into these “signs”. Last year when I was applying, I didn’t receive this one email that so many other people got that outlined financial aid, and I was still accepted. My advice to you is don’t stress. There is nothing you can do now. And, remember that Cornell is one of the hardest schools to get into in the country, so not getting in is okay. You can’t change anything now, so just hope for the best!

Wait but I sent mine in and it still says initiated?? And i never got contacted o.o

i had a cornell alumni meeting and she told me to send in anything new but i didn’t get my first Q grades till the beginning of dec bc my school is slow so i wasn’t able to send in the grades but i did send in an updated resume
