-Take LSAT in either June of Junior year or Fall of Senior year (good for 3 years?).
-Graduate UG.
-Get an analyst job as an I-Banker in NYC.
-Work for the typical 2 years.
-Take the GMAT at some point?
-Apply separately to a university's B-school/Law school

Am I missing anything? Is 2 years worth of work experience enough for the top B-schools?

TYIA

Alternatively, I guess I could go to law school straight out of undergrad, work in corporate biglaw in NY, take the GMAT, and apply to B-schools after the fact, drawing on corporate law experience. After getting the MBA, I guess I could transition to the PE side of things (hopefully). Is this a viable lateral strategy?

Generally, the students entering top business schools have 4-5 years of work experience, on average. In other words, if you want to work as an investment banking analyst, you had better hope that you are one of the lucky few who is either asked to do a third year as an analyst (typically, it’s two years and out), who is promoted to associate without having gone to business school (a rarer feat) or who finds another job after working in investment banking that would be deemed a “step up” or a promotion of some kind.

^ I figured as much. Well, in that case, I guess one would have to take the LSAT 1 or 2 years after graduation (while working…ew), since the score is only good for 3 years, correct?
