OK, here is the deal, GW at this point is my second choice next to a CA. school, GW is an awesome school and I feel totally lucky to go there, to be truthful i am a little under their radar in terms of sat scores, decent student, go to prestigious NY private school that sends many kids to GW every year, had a awesome essay, great recommendations, strong EC'S, solid B+ student, you get the picture. Does the fact that my Grandfather attended and got his masters there help, he wrote a fantastic "endorsement" letter and sent it to them, does this qualify as legacy? What do you think? I am crossing my fingers but don't want to get my hopes up at all....want your honest opinion, know I came to the right place!

I think that still counts as a legacy. I don't think it will get you in on its own, but it could possibly tip the scales in your favor if they are on the fence. Good luck!
