Is this an ideal strategy for the CR section?

I did this on the CR section for the ACT and found it to work decently, and due to having more time per question on the SAT I feel it would work even better.

Is it a good idea to read through the whole passage and then answering all the questions that follow?

Or should I refer to the questions first for line references and then go about reading the passage and answering the questions?

Whatever’s good for you. I like reading the passage and then answering, personally and it works pretty well for me.

Read the whole passage.

^I second that.

I read somewhere that it’s good to really glance through the questions, find out what line numbers are being specifically referenced too, make a little note of them in the passage itself, and then read the passage, concentrating on those marks.
Of course, I hate passages, and I’ve only done this once.

I underline the referenced words/sentences and then answer the question when I get to that mark. I find it easier to break the passage up piece by piece and answer questions as you read. Otherwise, if you don’t retain everything, you’ll have to go back through and look for all of the answers, which in my opinion is a waste of time.

Lol, I guess I should’ve included that as well. Makes sense, those passages are too boring for me to do anything other than skim.
