Is this an indication of acceptance?

today i got a letter from depauw that had financial aid information in it. i was wondering if this is a good indication of acceptance since i dont see why they would send it to me otherwise. i sent my app in EA on Nov 1st so it seems possible to have an acceptance by now.

Wow…that’s kind of strange. I would assume that any acceptance letter/packet would precede FA information. My DS is waiting to hear from them…their office said on Monday that we would hear “in a couple of days,” but today is Wednesday - and nothing arrived. I assume if you say a couple of days, then the decision letter has been mailed. But I don’t know what to say about your situation…did it seem like it wasn’t generic?

ummm, sorta but sorta not. there was a letter, although i havent gotten around to reading it completely, that was talking about financing you education at depauw, and a form to fill out. i think the form was a FAFSA form, but it was specifically for depauw. also when did your DS send submit their apps?

He submitted his application in late August - and everything was in (transcripts, etc) by mid-September.

bump…

MY daughter received an e-mail suggesting she apply to the Information Technology Associates Program at Depauw. My first thought was that this was an acceptance, but then I thought rejection, and they are steering her towards a 2-year program. All these e-mails can be so confusing. Here’s hoping our “large” letter comes today, too!

Just received the same financial aid letter today, but still no acceptance letter…will be calling on Monday to check our status.

I can only recommend the ITAP program. Its great - and has great work study pay. It is not a 2-year track.

Hey, I got accepted at Depauw an have some few questions. I am a Nepali student. As you might guess, I have limited funds to contribute to my education (maximum 4-5 k per year) Depauw expects me to pay around 13k.
Does this include summer jobs, workstudy and all those other stuffs besides the scholarship. The letter speaks of only $35 k annual scholarship. And I am trying to call them . In the mean time I wanted some feedbacks.
Also please give me some tips on writing AID BARGAIN letter…lol…seriously!!

write them depauw is very interested in international students and probably with work study and other options they will do whatever it takes for you to attendthe university
I would call and ask them what they could do for you, the early bird catches the worm and especially if depauw is the place you want to attend.

Wow, you got 35k/year!?

hey…I also got accepted at DePauw…30k scholarship…it just means the grant award though. I think you can still have a campus job. I’m an international student, though. What about you? And do colleges actually increase aid if you bargain? :|

hey…I am also an international student but haven’t heard from them. What is you ACT/GPA?

international student, and haven’t heard anything, either
