Is this any good?

Why is Northwestern a good place for you?

Northwestern is a world-renowned university, but the reader does not need me to inform him of this. There are numerous reasons why I have chose to apply beyond the academic success Northwestern is famous for. One reason is the location. Being located so close to Chicago gives students numerous opportunities to further themselves, mainly job opportunities, but furthers to the extent of the people Chicago is populated with. Chicago has, and is filled with great people whom have made a difference in the world. Northwestern itself also provides numerous opportunities for students to make a difference in the world also. This can be seen through the amounts of students whom have gone on to make a change in their lives and others. Such as Arthur Goldberg, Douglas Kmiec, William Jennings Bryan, Zach Braff and many more people whom have made a significant contribution to more than just their lives. The fellows listed above all received more than just a little help from Northwestern's staff, they received more from the advisors inside each field of study. The advising system the Weinberg College of Arts and Sciences would supply me with would be one of the main reasons I would succeed during and life after Northwestern. The advising system gives students the connection that is so vitally needed during college when huge choices are being made and futures are becoming reality. I am convinced that the Weinberg College of Arts and Sciences at Northwestern will help me succeed in becoming an ambassador. The Political Science program offered through Weinberg's College of Arts and Sciences would give me a foundation in liberal arts which would help me to better understand the different governments around the world and the politics that are included within them. Beyond the education I would gain a sense for civic duty from the Weinberg College of Arts and Sciences at Northwestern which would help me to become a better person as well as know more about how my government works. All Northwestern University has to offer has made me decide that if I was given the opportunity to attend this school I would take full advantage of everything that was presented to me. From internships within Chicago to the guidance of an advisor. I believe Northwestern would supply me with the best foundation to further my career hopes as well as becoming a more educated person in general.

Did you run the grammar check?

So good in fact that I am copy and pasting it and using it as my own

it was decent, but FYI don’t post essays on websites where people could easily copy them

oh and lol @DESTROYER who was trying to give you that advice in a funnier, more subtle way :P

Not to be a negative Nancy, but you should work some more on it. It’s a little wordy and hard to read; try to make it a little more concise. For example, you don’t have to say that there are many reasons and then list reason one, reason two… I can’t understand this part, “but furthers to the extent of the people Chicago is populated with.” Be careful using “whom”. You said “whom” a few times when you meant “who”. Watch how often you’re using passive voice, too. I promise I’m just trying to be helpful! Good luck! I love Northwestern, too!
