I know this is kinda weak but i guess its a little unique so wondering if it would look good at all: being certified as a jewish religious school teacher and experience as an assistant. yes? no? thanks :)

Yes, it is a hook. Actually, some people reserve the word "hook" to mean something stronger such as being a URM, legacy or athlete. At any rate, it is a good EC.

Is a 660+ increase in SAT a hook?

No, I don't think a big increase would be a hook. If it was, I can just imagine everyone low-balling it the first time so that they could start with a 200. Congratuations, though. Any particular reason? Did you have a stroke in the middle of the first test?

I had to pee BADLY during the middle of the test. I totally lost focus and randomly guess on the CR sections. I am retaking and I should be able to score much higher as indicated from scores in my CB practice tests.

That's nice. You should have take one of the SAT prep classes from Princeton Review before retaking it. Then you might be able to get some type of endorsement deal with PR, you know, like that fat guy who lost all the weight eating at Subway. You could be in TV commercials.

hahah, true.

haha interesting...btw im asking because i kinda dont have anything too important in my ECs except this

A long list of clubs without any real involvement doesn't help you at all. Colleges want well rounded freshmen classes, but not well rounded students. They are looking for applicants who show long-term involvement and "passion" in one or two activities. Assuming that this activity is a major one, you are probably okay.

Large public universities are more numbers driven, and probably don't even look at your EC's.

well this is the most involved i am in something, im kinda wondering if theyll notice. it is kinda unusual and shows a vested interest i think....i hope they think so
