I barely have a B+ in physics now trying to maintain. Chemistry is EXTREMELY hard at my school (no one has an A).
Am I setting myself up for failure? How hard is Physics B???

I’m taking Physics B this year and I hate it, although I am maintaining an A. The concepts never stick in my mind and I find it extremely boring and hard to grasp quickly.

I don’t think many people here recommend doubling up on sciences either, but if you feel up to the challenge, then go for it :).

Ultimately, it depends on what teachers you have.

I think AP Physics B is pretty difficult. Granted, I have a very weak foundation in physics. But that’s WHY I’m taking the AP class - so I can prepare myself for college. It covers a broad range of topics and, honestly, gets you to think about problem solving a little differently. Especially if you have a good teacher. It’s one of my most useful classes this year for that reason - and I’m not going into anything even remotely physics related.

I recommend that you take it, but be wary that you may have to put some effort into it. But then again you may not! Some people are pretty blessed in that respect haha =]

haha thanks guys. I’m not going into any physics related field either. But last I checked I think I’ll have to take some college level physics for any med program.

I’m hopelessly trying to get it out of the way in HS so I don’t have to be worried too much by it in college. Afterall, I care more about my college gpa than my HS gpa:)

Chem, well I’m just taking that because I really like it! lol

AP Physics… it’s hard to really say if it’s difficult or not. Obviously, it’s a challenging course, but for some people, it’s easy whie for some people, it’s extremely difficult.

It really does depend on your science and math ability… A LOT. The most similar class to it is AP Chem… if you liked AP chem a lot, you should like AP Physics as well.
