Is this bad luck ?

...Just finished my essay for USC and it's 666 words. I hope this doesn't bring me bad luck!! hehe, wish me luck people.

Edit: The form says:

"Essay
Please write an essay, approximately 500–700 words (typically one page), on one of following topics. Check the box of your selected topic."

but my essay is 2 full pages and 3 lines of a third page, though it still falls within the # of words they ask for. Do you guys think I'll have any problem with it being too long ?

no, you'll be fine

as long as it is between those 500-700 words, you are fine. My essay was same length as yours. (length meaning pages)

Oh funny little story. My word count came out to be 666 also! I kind of got scared too, so I revised a sentence to give it one word less, so 665 words here.

Oh, weird MrxPenguin, are you applying as a transfer or freshman ?, do you mind showing your resume ?

oh gosh, my essay was 880 words, haha. im not worried though bc its only a page and a half and my write style is concise anways.

socks,
well 180 words isn't that much. I doubt they would penalize you. I was actually over by 80+ words and realized I had some bad sentences and all that grammar junk. Well, I revised it two more times and got down to 666, which i immediately searched for another sentence to correct to get the grand total of 665 words.

Oh also, I'm curious if you double spaced.
