No, if you are a freshmen entering UCR, then It’s a good thing, you will be able to graduate early. My friend had AP units from high school so he was also technically a sophomore when he entered UCR.

If you are a sophomore this year, but not technically a sophmore: It’s not that bad. Take a summer class and make it up. It’s not a race.

yeah that’s what i was thinking, (doing summer school), i will be a sophomore not a freshman (:

thank you!

or i can also take 16 units instead of the 13 i always took right??

You can make up for it for taking summer school or just taking a few extra units each quarter. The only way that it’ll affect you is through registration times (registration times are dependent on units) Otherwise, having greater or fewer units than anyone else doesn’t really matter at all.

what if i want to graduate in four years??

Like ahuynh91 said, summer school and taking more than 12 units each quarter are great ways to stay on track if you want to graduate in 4 years. Keep in constant contact with your academic adviser. He or she is your BFF when it comes to degree checks.

okay, thanks a bunch!
