Is this bad?

Hi so I have gotten decent grades throughout high school although I haven’t completed the required A-G classes because I am currently taking the rest in my senior year. Due to this, my CSU GPA is lower than I anticipated because obviously I haven’t completed my 4th year of english, my arts, and science. Do they take this into account? Or am I screwed?

@Matt1234253232: CSU’s (exception Cal Poly SLO) only use 10-11th grades in their GPA calculation with a cap of 8 semesters of Honors credit for UC approved Honors, AP, IB and DE courses taken during that time. If you are out of state, only AP and IB courses 10-11th grades are considered for the Honors points.

Senior year grades are not considered for admissions purposes and the CSU’s expect you to be completing your a-g courses during Senior year so it is normal to taking you 4th year English, Math, Fine Arts, Social Science, Science courses in 12th.

Freshman year grades are only considered to make sure you passed your a-g courses.

Here is the CSU GPA calculator if you have not already done the calculation: https://www2.calstate.edu/apply/eligibility-index

SDSU admits by eligibility index and major so once you calculate your CSU capped weighted GPA and you have your test scores, you can calculate your EI.

EI= (CSU GPA x800) + (SAT Math+EBRW) or (CSU GPA x200) + (ACT composite x10).

You are then ranked based on major and EI. Applicants are admitted from the top down until all spots are filled.
