Is this considered a hook?

To my knowledge, a hook is something that makes an otherwise mediocre application stand out because of some special extracurricular a student has participated in.

My hook is that I started my own Sole Proprietorship selling digital products that I own online. I made over $10,500 so far since August and have seen great success running my own business. I also own a web design service where I design the websites for clients. One client was a multi-million dollar company who hired me. They accepted my work and paid me in the $x,xxx range. Among that I have other Extracurriculars such as leadership positions, volunteering, National Honor Society, etc. I discussed my "hook" both in my essay and on my EC section for the Rutgers application.

Will this hook help me achieve admission into the Business school? These two endeavors are clearly business-oriented, but is it enough? I'm applying with a 3.37 GPA, a strong upwards GPA trend, four business oriented classes in my Senior year, and a 1740 SAT. I'm aware that my academic stats are in the low 25% of their averages, please do not tell me this. The question is: Is my hook going to make a difference?

I think your stats are ok for the business school, if you applied early. I know people who got in with similar stats. I am not sure if the hook would make a difference.

Let us know what happens. Good luck~
