I've taken the SAT 3 times and my last score was a 2250. It broke down to a 790 critical reading, 770 math, and 690 writing. I know my writings a bit weak, so I'm wondering if my score is competent. I want to apply to top colleges like Carnegie Melon, UC Berkeley, USC, NYU, Michigan Ann Arbor etc. I know my score is a bit above their averages, but my big thing is grades and test scores. While not being exceptionally weak in the ec area, it's a bit bland for me. So, does this score stick out enough or should I take the SAT again?

Don’t take the SAT again. Your M and CR scores are fine. For most colleges and universities, that will be much more important than your W score - which is decent enough even though it isn’t as stellar as the M and CR scores. Concentrate your energy on keeping up your GPA and taking the SATII exams that are appropriate for your college list.

^ what Mom said

Alright, thanks for the advice guys.

like mom said, the most important score is your M+CR

move on from worrying about your SATs now. That’s not the only thing they look at. Focus on your gpa and build up your ECs. Try to find some leadership if you can.
