If you have a relative (parent or sibling) who works in a hospital affiliated with a college (Columbia, NYU, UChicago, etc.), does that give you any advantage when applying there? Is it considered any form of legacy or faculty relationship?

Definitely not legacy, that is a relative who graduated from the school, it has nothing to do with employment.

I’m not sure, but I doubt that faculty (this means actual faculty, not just an employee) of a college related hospital is treated the same as UG faculty, because a college’s School of Medicine is often considered as a completely separate entity from the UG college. It may vary by school, so you should call each one and ask if faculty of the SOM are included.
