I have a cousin who went to Yale about 10 years ago. Is this considered legacy or is legacy only applied to parents and aunts/uncles?

Thanks!

He also doesn't really donate to the school. He donates like $200 a year which is insignificant considering he makes a fortune.

Yale's supplement asks you if a parent, stepparent, or grandparent went to Yale. See http://www.yale.edu/admit/freshmen/application/pdf/yale_supplement_paper.pdf It also asks you if other relatives attended, but I think a cousin is probably pretty remote.

I believe it's parent, stepparent, or grandparent having graduated from the undergraduate college, and graduate or professional schools.

No, sorry.
I was in almost the same situation, but in this case it was a second cousin, which is pretty much NOT a legacy.
But don't worry, legacies don't matter.
I got in without being one so just hang tight!

Ok, not like they don't matter matter, but they really do not play a huge role. :)
