I wrote that I was in a club for 3 years, when it was actually only 2. It was a total mistake and I didn't mean to mark it as 3.. but I already sent in the application before I realized what I did. It's not a very important club (Philosophy Club) and not a national thing like Key Club or any honor society so I don't think they will check but still...
Should I email them or just let it be?

If you can't sleep because your having nightmares about it, e-mail them...

Just let it be. It's not important enough to make a difference in your application results.

they dont generally call to confirm small things like that.

you could call the committee and tell them you made a mistake, just to be safe

I agree with The Revolution. They will appreciate your honesty, and in case it does come up somehow, the correct facts will be on record and you will not be penalized for it.

Email your admissions rep and explain the mistake. Will probably make no difference at all in terms of admissions, but you'll sleep better knowing you did the right thing.

How could they ever find out the # of years? Not like the school keeps a record of it.

Don't worry its not like it is going to make any difference in the decision

I did the same thing, only I subtracted a year.

cordova...where are you from???

Don't be silly. No-one will ever even think of verifying this. In fact you are more likely to confuse them than help things.

You're not getting in based on the fact that you spent 3 years in a club rather than 2. Don't worry about it.

I wouldn't. Just let it rest. For one thing, they're not going to find out, and another thing, it makes you look disorganized... if you can't sleep over it, then fix it. That's not lying... its a simple human error, and we make plenty of those. If you have already been accepted by that school, then just let it rest.

unless you're sending an activity sheet and unless you're in nothing BUT that club, contact them. otherwise, i really don't think it matters..

I made a bigger error, I put "15" hours instead of "5" hours and immediately called them. They asked me to email them and they would put it on my record. Don't panic.

The end.

I wouldn't call that a big error. That's rather minor. I was so afraid about some mistakes I made to admissions and I sent erratum reports to them. My counselor and even admissions told me that I worry to much, and that I was being a perfectionist. They said relax, and only report if there is a huge error. Minor errors like what this individual listed above me, is not something crucial, will not affect your chances, and will be overlooked. Honesty is important, but we must learn to be alittle practical here. Admissions are made up of humans, and they know people make mistakes.
