I am thinking of majoring in the medical field. I'm having problems deciding whether I should take AP Biology/AP Chem or AP Biology/Anatomy. Please help me! Course selections are due!

Seriously man, going from 1 AP (which you made a B in) to 7 is not a good idea, in the least bit. I’d recommend taking just 3; 4 at a pushy maximum.

I’d prioritize these: Calc, USH, and Lang. If you decide to go for four, then choose between psych or stats, depending on which interests you more (psych is the easier one).

I’m taking those same four (Calc, USH, Lang, Psych) next year as a junior. I took two this year and have high A’s in both (have all year), and am pretty sure I got a 5 on one of them and a 4/5 on the other.

Your jumping from Algebra II to Calc BC and you’re going from 1 to 6 APs when you received a B on your only AP this year. You are setting yourself up for failure.

i agree. >.< from your last post, you said you were in alg2/geometry. why would you skip all the way to bc… and if you are planning to major in the medical field, ap bio would definitely be more helpful than ap psysch

Ya- If you can take Calc AB, I would suggest just to take that. It’s not like it will look bad on your transcript or anything. Just take BC your senior year.

Yep you are definitely not going to pass all of those exams trust me. Just because you are getting straight A’s doesn’t mean you will be getting straight 5’s. Always remember that.

I’m taking Pre-Calc over the summer. And by the way, I won’t be taking all of those AP exams. Maybe sometimes someone wants to take an AP class to boost their GPA.

Based off of your performance on your single AP course this year, I am inclined to believe that your proposed schedule would be quite detrimental to your GPA.

Well, I wouldn’t know unless I try… and aren’t my excellent math and memorization skills a factor to whether or not it’ll be hard for me to handle these classes?

Well sure gc414. But if he/she does indeed do bad in these classes or not take the ap exam, it could hurt his/her college application very much, thus prohibiting him/her from getting into a good college where he/she could learn and be successful.

Lol, it is going to be hard, there is no question about it. There is to a certain extent how much one’s brain can sustain in a period of time. You are kinda pushing it. But do you. If you think you can past all, go for it.
