So, basically, Im going into sophomore year of college. In high school i got a 5 on AP physics. Now, I already got an A in both honors chem and honors Bio at NYU, which i do hace to comment myself is a tough feat. But now, next semester im taking Physics, Orgo, and Molec. and cell biology, with a core class. EITHER WAY, i was taking orgo and molec.cell together. I have a good feeling physics should be just a review... but alotta people here are basically handing me the knife to kill myself with... I feel i could do it. But do you guys think this is a RELE bad idea? its def. doable rite? and by doable, i mean get A-'s in all of them.

How many labs do you have? Orgo, Physics, and Mol Bio? Three labs/week? Lab courses would be incredibly time consuming.....

Can't you get Mol bio and Cell Bio out of the way in the Summer instead?

molec. cell has no lab... btw... im biochem major so i dont even NEED molec.cell. im only taking it, cuz its advised for both pre-meds and biochem, AND i was originally just plain bio major. Thing was, i didnt kno wat other course to take. Ironically the ONLY classes i got A's in last semester were the two EVERY1 said im crazy for taking together. Im kind of a backwards student, do well in the hard stuff, f'k up the easy stuff. So i figure i may actually, ironically, do better with this ***** schedule. Im prolly crazy tho rite?

Orgo requires considerable study time. Since you have done AP Physics, Physics would be a breeze for you.

You would essentially be spending most of your study time between Orgo, Mol an cell bio. Whats the other core course you mention?

It's not entirely impossible. You will just have to manage your time extremely efficiently. I do think it's a heavy course load though.

No chance of completing Physics or Orgo in the Summer for you?

If you have already taken Mol bio in HS, this would be not such a heavy course for you either.

You just have to manage your time efficiently though......it's not impossible but is definitely a heavy course load. Some people thrive under pressure. If you are the type, it's OK. No one knows your abilities as well as you yourself.
If you have a CAN DO attitude, you prep well for all course work, and manage your time well, you can do it.

I took physics (never took physics in HS), orgo, biochem along with two liberal arts classes my sophomore year. It was doable for me. Whether it's doable for you, only you will know.

this is funny cause i asked this question couple days ago!
if it makes you feel any better, ill be doing the same as you except mol bio has lab for the course.

i think you should be fine, since physics would be the least of your worries

It is certainly doable. But to quote NCG: "Whether it's doable for you, only you will know."

thanks guys and gals... this is def. a confidence booster. As i said, i was fine with it, its all these OTHER people that are like, "Here's the knife" I just want to get A's in all the courses like i did Bio and chem. Even tho i kno these are much tougher. Also, offtopic question, is it true that like 50% of med school applicants make NONE of their applied schools? another reason why i dont wanna screw my GPA....
