16 units is pretty good to start out with.

i just don't wanna overload myself ya knoe! it already looks overwhelming!

i agree with all the advisors when they recommend that you only take 13-15 units in your first semester, just to play it safe...so what you want to take already is more than that. but different students can handle different workloads. i took 17 units and did fine...but there are others who take 13 and still struggle. so the best thing would be to take four classes you want, and attend those classes for the first couple weeks. look at the syllabi for those classes and you'll be able to get a feel for how much you'll be able to handle. if it's too much, then just drop a class and take a seminar or decal. dropping a class is no big deal, as easy as clicking your mouse.

if you want a 30 minute gap because you want a break between classes, that's cool. but if you think you won't have to time to get from one class to another if you schedule them back-to-back, that's not necessarily true. classes start 10 minutes after they say they do, so you essentially have 10 minutes to get from one class to another.

whats poli sci 30ac? i know there's poli sci 60ac, but whats the 30?

What French class are you interested in taking? language classes are usually 5 units.
