Is this doable?

h=honors
THIS IS AT FOOTHILL. What what I've seen, summer classes at foothill are Mon-Thurs 2 hrs each, normal classes (fall/spring) MW TuTH 2 hrs each? Correct me if I'm wrong.
And this is a schedule that would make help me complete TAP and IGETC and pre-reqs -> UCLA. I don't know how long or difficult Foothill honors courses are so could others shine some light on this? Thanks.
Summer:
Econ 1a
Pre-calc (if i fail the placement test)

Fall:
Econ1b
Calc1
Acct1a
Art1a (h) or musi (h)

Winter:
Calc2
Acct1b
Art1a or 2a (h)

Spring:
astr (h)
Bio6a (h)
Acct1c
Hist4a

And I guess I would need 2 honors seminars in there, Bio and Astr come with them I think. 4 honors courses 2 seminars fufills TAP right? Or am I completely wrong on everything and should just not do TAP at all if it is too much
And this is if they have courses in the right section available.

You’re planning on doing English, foreign language, etc, the following year? Otherwise looks fine. I’d be concerned if bio and astronomy were both regular courses, but you should be fine since they’re seminars (if I’m reading this right)

I already did everything else needed for GE at SJSU, and being at SJSU for year 1 I have not done any TAP courses
bio and astr would be both honors with lab/seminar :x
I think some honors classes do come with honors seminar, correct me if I’m wrong

might have to petition to get more units during winter. in my ccc u can only have a max of 8 units during summer and winter

Ah, well if they both have labs, you might want to move one. Labs typically take forever and it could end up being a real pain to schedule

is TAP certified -> 4 classes & 2 seminars?

If you’re very good at math, Winter is doable. If not, good luck.

Ok so I’m gonna be applying to UCB, UCLA, UCSD, Santa Clara (TAA), USC
Since I’m not a 4.0 student I really think TAP would help me out for UCLA econ.
However this puts LOTs more stress on my already crammed schedule.
Or I could just try and get the highest GPA possible w/o TAP (semester gpa’s: 3.15 last sem, ouch, ~3.86 right now)

What should I do? :(

I think foothill is on quarters, so winter shouldn’t be too bad? p.s. Do tap. It really isn’t that much harder than a normal class and you get 2 shots plus some bonus points when they look at your app

To be tap certified, is it 4 courses and 2 seminars?

Wait how many classes can you typically take during the winter session? I was under the impression that it was only one since it’s so short.

If foothill is on quarters then it’s the same as fall or spring

From my experience, 5 classes in a full semester would be much easier than 3 classes in a winter. By far

Foothill IS on quarters, however from what I have seen in fall/spring classes are 2 days a week for 2 hrs each. Kinda like a semester O_o
I could be wrong though

So you mean 5 classes in a quarter? as foothill is on quarter system

3 classes per quarter is fine. If you can lighten up your last quarter in preparation for transferitis, that might be a good idea

I can’t do 3 classes per quarter - I wouldn’t get pre-reqs/igetc, let alone also TAP done to xfer for a junior for fall 09

You guys still haven’t assisted me on how many courses/seminars u need for TAP

Oh, whoops. I was just going off the memory that your winter was only 3 classes. I’d like to help with Foothill’s TAP, but every CC has different reqs and I’m just not familiar with them
