Hello! I wanted to ask you guys your opinion if my class rigor is up to par with Lehigh. I am ED1 Lehigh.
Freshman year:
ALL College-Prep (CP) classes
Sophomore year:
Took ALG 2 honors
Rest were CP classes
Junior Year:
Took Pre Calc Honors
Took AP Physics 1
Rest were CP classes
Senior Year:
AP Chem
AP Econ
AP Calc AB ( I may drop to Calc CP but right now am in AP)
English 4 Honors
Advanced Video and Film
Computer Programming Honors
With my transcript, I have an upward trend in rigor. Is this ideal for Lehigh? My test score was a 32 comp ACT btw.
Your course load seems very similar to mine when I was in high school (Lehigh student now). As long as you are doing well in these courses, I would suspect that your path is up to Lehigh standards. If you plan on doing something STEM related, I would recommend that you try to keep up with AP Calc AB, as it is fundamental to anything you do in college. Courses at Lehigh are way harder than any AP class you will take in high school, so it is important that you have a strong math background. Don’t sweat it, though, as many students here end up taking the Calc AB equivalent during their freshman year anyway.
Additionally, a 32 on the ACT is a very strong score, and in the range of many current students at Lehigh.
Definitely focus on your application and its essays, as they will differentiate you from the many other students applying with similar scores.
