Is this enough to get me in?

<p>Hello. As you've heard on CC about a million times, Stanford is my dream school. Here is what I plan to do and comment about whether or not this is enough would great! Thank you!</p>

<p>I will be a Junior in the fall, 2014. Below I have what I have completed and what I plan to do.</p>

<p>I'm hoping to become a business major with a minor in computer science. Eventually, I wanna work for a tech firm in the Silicon Valley. I hope my resume can reflect this.</p>

<p>Academics: Rank: 7/420, School in Northern California highest API Score in Area</p>

<p>Class(1st Semester Grade, 2nd Semester Grade)</p>

<p>Freshmen Year: Adv. LA(A-, A), Adv. Geometry(A,A), Adv. Geography(A+, A+), Biology(A+,A+), Adv. Spanish 2 (A+,A+) Leadership(A,A), PE 1(A,A), Mass Media(A,A). GPA: 4.00( Can't take weighted class Frosh Year)</p>

<p>Sophomore Year: Adv. LA(A,A), Adv. Algebra 2(A-, A-), AP World History(A,A), Honors Chemistry(A,A-) Honors Spanish 3(A-,A-), Leadership(A,A), Football(A,A), Health (A,A). GPA: 4.375</p>

<p>Projected Junior Year: AP Language/Composition, Honors Pre-Cal, AP US History, AP Physics 1, Honors Span 4, Leadership, AP Computer Science, Graphic Communications. GPA with straight A's: 4.75</p>

<p>Not going to do much over upcoming school year, really hard schedule. 2 hours a week for EDGE Core and go to Tulipville twice a week. </p>

<p>Summer going into Senior Year Plans:
For Sure VBS Kitchen Leader and Mission Trip</p>

<p>Either Internship at Intel or HP(family connections) and Comp Science Classes/ Business at community college
or
Academic Classes at Stanford(if I can get in)</p>

<p>Thinking of also starting a start up an app development company with a few friends. It would be small. </p>

<p>Projected SAT: at least 1350</p>

<p>Awards: See where I can go with National Merit, AP Scholar National(projected), Swim Most Inspirational, Citizenship Award, CSF Life Member, National Society of High School Scholars Member, other small stuff and gonna try to get more awards/scholarships</p>

<p>You definitely have all your bases covered! One thing I’ve noticed that really seems to help people in applying, though, is displaying that you had a passion for something. What motivates you to get up in the morning? What have you done with that passion or talent? It really doesn’t matter what it is, as long as you were and are dreaming big. That seems to be the big connecting factor among the admits I’ve seen this year. Sometimes, kids had all the right stats and still got rejected. I think there’s a lot to be said for proving you’re a person who loves doing interesting things as well as a student who really works hard in the classroom.</p>

<p>Good luck! No one can ever be sure when it comes to some of these top schools, but you have certainly done a great job in high school so far, and you should be really proud of yourself!</p>

<p>You have a lot of activities and you are taking challenging classes, but nothing is enough to get anyone into Stanford, unless you do something on a national scale. What I mean is that you can do everything right but it’s still very, very much luck of the draw. Keep doing what you’re doing and don’t set your heart on one school. Good luck!</p>
