Is this enough?

My current list as it stands is...

Reach:
Yale
Pomona
Brown
Amherst
Swarthmore

Match:
Oberlin
Wesleyan

Safety:
In-state U (already accepted)
Michigan
Macalester

Ten schools seems like enough to me, but at the same time perhaps a little reach-heavy? What do you think??

NB: Also considering Pomona EDII. Hmmm…

I think it looks great, you really know what kind of school you’d like to attend.

Pomona ED II is definitely a great possibility. I’m disappointed because I was too unsure to do ED 2 months ago but now i wish I had. Take your time to think about it, but if you’re sure you’d rather go to Pomona than to your other schools I say go for it.

List looks fine to me. I’m applying to a lot reaches as well.

Thanks for the reassurance

Other opinions?

If you are willing to attend your safety then you have enough on your list. If you are not, then look for another safety.

What are your stats??

I agree w/ Erin’s Dad. As far as I know, Michigan OOS can’t really be considered a safety unless you’re like 4.0/2400/amazing essays and recs material. And I think Macalester’s the same way.

If your already accepted into Michigan State University( my top choice), or University of Michigan- Ann Arbor(second)… I’ll say no need to look further.

I’d rather not get too specific but 4.0/2300+/good ECs.

kb: Then what would you consider a safety for me?

did you apply to Michigan priority? and I’m assuming you’re applying LSA there? if yes to both, I don’t think you need another safety, it just doesn’t seem to be a good fit for you based on the other small LACs you’re applying to.

and i hesitate to say this, but i think wesleyan’s a reach, even with your clearly impressive stats
