<p>I've already submitted this common-app essay for a few colleges, but I think it needs a bit more "umph" to be complete. Any suggestions would be welcome!</p>

<p>Just a quick thought – if you’re submitting the exact same essay to every school, you’re not really helping yourself. At least change the essay to fit each school! (It would be preferable to rewrite it if you have time.)</p>
