Is this even allowed?!

Are we allowed to change our schedule after the adviser has approved it(without really getting it approved again)? Are there any consequences I should be aware of for the future for doing so?

Thanks a lot!

Which college are you in?

Generally I think it’s okay as long as you tell them later. Goodness knows I’ve done it often enough. They understand that telebears screws students and sometimes makes them redo their schedules.

College of engineering

Email your adviser and ask? For College of Chemistry I just change it and tell my staff advisor, as long as I don’t change my ‘core courses’ that keep me on track for my major, it’s ok.

For college of engineering, I always switch whatever the heck I want after showing the advisor a schedule that seems to be on track.

agree with UpMagic.
You can pretty much do whatever you want after they give you your advisor code. Heck, you can even sign up for a graduate level class even if you’re nowhere near completing any of the prereqs.
