If I go to University of Michigan (ranked 25th USnews) , is it possible i can transfer to top 10 schools/ivy leagues after 1 year??

How good GPA do i have to get to transfer to those top schools? (coming from michigan)....3.8? 4.0??

Thanks!

its possible. Just go to the transfer forum...many people are transfering to top ten schools (from universities even less prestigious than UMichigan). Getting a good gpa there would be nice but for top ten everything else has to be close to perfect as well (SATs, extracurriculars, essays, etc etc.) Best wishes in your transfer goals... =)

That's a tough one. I honestly cannot say, but I think you should look at the transfer admission stats. They have them on collegeboard.com.

I was talking to a man I volunteer with, and he tranferred from UMich to UPenn after one year. He is in his late 30s, though, so times have changed. But I'd still say it's possible.

can someone give me some Percentages please?

eg. there is a 25% posibility, etc...

I can't see how anyone could possibly give you a percentage on this, unless they were at Penn and regularly worked with transfers.

As far as GPA goes, I know that in order to transfer into MIT, you have to have a minimum of a 3.5 GPA. I'm sure that others have similar policies.

in order to be a possible Competitive candidate, Must it be necessary for a 4.0?
