You spent half a day on those essays…Well damn.

And those guys probably enjoyed their monday off

sucks2suck

^ True, but it was worth it

It also sucks to fail.
I’ve def been in similar situations, and I’d rather do the work than risk my grade

^ This guy knows what’s up

How did it go?^^

Teacher did not give a crap.

They got a good grade for not doing any work. That’s awesome for them.

First good grade they’re gonna get in a looooong time

I was in a similar situation freshman year. To my partner’s credit, she did do about one-fourth of the work…only problem was the majority of it was wrong.

And by wrong I don’t mean low quality. I mean completely against the directions. Like for one part she was supposed to make a line graph and find the slope of the line. She sent me a pie chart. How was I supposed to find the slope of a pie chart? >.<

I stayed up till 4 A.M. fixing it all.
(with a good ~3 hours of procrastination of course :P)

Still made an A though, so it all worked out in the end. :)

^ that’s sorta what happened with me.

I totally feel you. This similar situation happens to me quite a bit and even recently. It was for digital media, which is like the kind of class you described (an elective w/ not many hard-working students). Basically, despite all my effort I put into “our” group project, we got an 80, which lowered my overall grade, all because one of the members who was supposed to submit our final project (she was the only one with all of our files) didn’t submit it on time even though I reminded her multiple times. Anyways, I had to fight for the grade I deserved, in a polite way of course. Thank goodness I won (since our teacher is quite stubborn sometimes). So, I dislike group projects and find them unfair unless I get to choose who’s working with me. Group projects would be more fair if people could work together but be graded individually, like by how each person contributed to the project. That way, slackers can’t bring others down.
