Although, the collegeboard was hacked over the last few days, and the names and e-mail addresses of students were obtained (nothing else). Honestly though, just call the damn office on Monday and stop speculating :).

Wow, what were your stats?

Yes, collegeboad did get hacked and I received an email from them telling me so. Freaked the hell out of me.

What does Collegeboard being hacked have anything to do with the email sent from UCLA servers?

^Critical thinking man…

That would also suppose that whomever hacked CB also hacked UCLA, which I would imagine is a difficult task to perform in the same weekend considering different security protocols etc. Also that the person really cares about hacking UCLA and messing with students… It’s probably real, but just call them in an hour to make sure.

Well if it sheds some light, I used my older email with collegeboard, and a newer email with UCLA and other collegeapps. However, I did use my new email for CSS/IDOC so…

Also, I got tthis email as well.

Lol, sorry, I forgot to mention. Collegeboard sent it to me.

I called, it’s real.

Haha, yes!!!

Congratulations! I’m sure your parents will be delighted!

Yes, they are!
When they say the scholarship is “up to $9,200”… what’s that mean? What is the final amount dependent on?

I got the general email that was sent out a few days ago, and then today I got the same email that was personally addressed to me, so I’m assuming you all got it too. I’m really happy about this! $9,200 a year from UCLA is really something.

^ I think it might depend on your financial aid situation.

The gap between your grants received and the listed COA will likely be your EFC.

My mom called this morning; she said that I could expect at least half of 9,200, which I would be satisfied with. I hope the number is much closer to 9,200 per year though, haha. Congrats to everyone who got this!

Has anyone’s e-Pal been updated yet? I’m still waiting…

is this need based also?

I think they usually update their financial stuff at the end of the week? I’d expect it to come in tomorrow. I’m close to submitting my SIR, but if this financial aid is any good I’m probably submitting it tomorrow.

They updated it! I got $9,200 per year. :D

I got about that as well! :] In total, it’s about 10,500 in gift aid. I’m very honored and pleased.
