Is this going to be worth it?

So I'm not majoring in anything business or practical, but i've decided to make the most of college, and take business classes anyway to learn the basics. but it turns out that i wanted way too much out of college. i want a double major and a minor, plus extra business classes. but doing so will pull me back 1 year if i do the business classes. should i take some at the college level, or just save the money and time and learn as I go? It's not certain I'll end up at the business area either, but I have a feeling I will. Here are the classes I'm thinking of taking. Are they going to be worth it?

-Macroeconomics
-Basic written business communications
- Business Finance
- Introduction to Accounting and Financial Reporting
- Marketing Concepts
- Principles of Selling
- Advertising

Below are the classes that fit into my schedule without making me a fifth year senior. I don't know if they would be enough:

Marketing Analysis and Strategy for Non-business Majors

Accounting and Finance for Non-business Majors

Managing Human Assets for Non-business Majors

What are your majors and minor? And if you're taking that many business classes by choice, wouldn't it make more sense to major in it? Or minor, maybe?

I'm going to double major in English and Philosophy and minor in Chinese. The business school is very competitive in my school, and I didn't complete all the pre-reqs yet. They also don't have a business minor.

I think you've got the right idea, but remember that you don't have to take ALL of those courses. I would talk to the adviser in the business department and ask her which courses are more important. I wouldn't lose the year (and the money).

okay, will do.

well, what tempted me to go for an extra year is my current job. it's only open to students for a max of 3 years. i only have 2 years left. if i'm still a student, i can still have the job. i heard if i wanted to apply for a better position within, 3 years would be better. the job is not bad itself. :D
