Sorry for such a long thread.

Your EC’s are good and your high school marks are great …your sat score is great but I think is below the range of Mit cornell etc. You have a great chance at purdue as u are well above their range

I read at US news and education is that for international students they give more importance to SAT or Act score even though they say every aspect has equal wheigtage.for US students high school marks might be more important but for international students sat or act scores are more important

That’s the irony, we don’t study for giving SAT/ACT to pass from CBSE. We wake up from hibernation(CBSE) prepare for SAT for not more than a month maybe, then how do they expect us to score better than what their own nationals do. -.-

Yep you are ryt our scores are not compared with their students in fact one of my acquaintance who lives in us said that it is the easiest for international students to get admission in us colleges even in Ivy League it is easier for international then us students if u don’t need financial aid

I need more views on my chance.

you have already applied or will you apply this year?

I have already applied.

Anyone?

Okay, firstly, you have to know that Ivy League colleges and most good colleges don’t consider anything other than National/ International level Olympiads, Leadership Qualities (preferably out of school activities) and exceptional qualifications in Sports and/or Music as E.C.s. So most of your listed E.C.s (like photoshop, singing, playing keyboard, organising events and attending seminars) don’t really matter.
Now, moving on to your SAT score - It’s a huge let down. If you’re looking to get into an Ivy League college, then your chances are close to zero. You might want to consider retaking it.
TOEFL isn’t usually that valuable, according to what I know.
You’ll probably land Purdue. Illinois is a possibility, not a probability though.
Hope I helped.

Ya thank you, accepted at a University that’s World rank 29(Computer Science).IVY League is not the end of the world.

Were you accepted into UNSW? That’s great! Good luck with your other universities! Guess we’ll soon find out about Illinois tonight.

^ Yeah. It would come at 3:30 AM in the night. Best of luck!
