P.S. I go to a top 100 school in the U.S. and I am looking to apply early decision...

Absolutely. If you write an awesome admissions essay, you’ll probably even get a scholarship. I’m pretty sure your stats look better than mine did in HS and I currently go to Trinity with a scholarship. Good luck to you!

you will most likely get in assuming there isn’t anything glaring on your record and you write good essays. You’ll likely get some kind of partial scholarship too depending on the breakdown of your SAT scores (last time I checked they care much more about the math and verbal section than the writing). It sounds like you may be on your way to engineering (which has amazing new facilities incase you didn’t know) or econ but if you have any questions about the chemistry department I can help. It’s a great and challenging place that will prepare you well. You will not get the typical college experience there (go to UT austin if you want that) but the educational opportunities there, especially in the natural sciences and engineering are at a very high level. Also, it being an essentially undergraduate-only institution has so many benefits for your education that you won’t realize until several years down the line when you talk to your friends who go to huge big name universities. Anyways, if you have any questions I might be able to help. Take care.
