Is an SAT score of 2130 good enough for Brown? This school is my main reach, so I’m curious.

My son was waitlisted with a 2230. Of course, there is a lot more to an application than just the SAT score.

I got in with a 2140, and I know people here who got below 2000. Nothing, in and of itself, is either “good enough” to get you in, and very few single “bad” things (i.e. lower test scores) are impossible to mitigate given other superb qualities.

I think the better question is: are you so desperate for Brown that you’re willing to restudy for a higher grade? If yes, then do it. If you’re weary, then relax and just make sure you’re within the range of all your desired match schools.

Daughter had a 2130 and starts at Brown this fall. Also had all A’s, tough course schedule, great ECs, and great references. There is certainly no formula. All the best to you.
