It depends in large lart on the offerings in your particular HS. Talk to your HS guidance counselor and ask if your schedule is strong enough for him/her to check the box on your college recommendation saying you have taken the most rigorous schedule available at your HS. Top tier colleges will want to see that box checked off. The opinion of your guidance counselor is the one that matters.
Is that “by the end of senior year”?
Yes, it’s good enough, absolutely, but more precisely it’d depend on what classes you took DE and what you took for Ap’s (ie., APES isn’t the same as AP Chem).
@MYOS1634
Yes it is.
My APs are AP Calc, AP Human Geo, AP Stats, AP Psychology, AP Comp sci, and APUSH. Are those tough ones?
My DE’s were pretty much prerequisites, like college writing, basic sciences, and a philosophy course. My tougher ones were probably national government and principle of economics.
As long as your grades and test scores are competitive I think your rigor is just fine. If you are considering STEM may need to work in another AP science but otherwise you are good.
It’s okay, but hopefully you’ll do have first year general science classes as part of your dual enrollment program ?
If so, you’re okay.
