is this grammatically correct?

<p>for a while, i clutch myself tightly...just as i did two years ago.</p>

<p>and then it all CAME back to me. the feelings well up strongly.............</p>

<p>since all the tenses are present, should "came" be present too? change it to 'comes'???</p>

<p>it sounds so weird tho.</p>

<p>it should deffinitely be “comes”, as want the whole thing to be in the present tense.</p>
