Is this how u calculate your score?

(36)(.8266666)=29.759</p>

<p>You are probably using the McGraw-Hill's version of scoring, which I do not believe is accurate.</p>

<p>No the scores are not calculated on a straight percentage basis. Have a look at the ACT booklet available on the ACT web site.

There is a scoring scale on page 63 which will give you an idea though the scales vary a little for each test and each subject. Science, for instance, is very unforgiving - 3 wrong out of 40 drops you to a 30 (if it was calculated like a percentage it would be 33) while 3 wrong out of 40 in reading gives you a 35.</p>

<p>For that test a 63 raw score would give you a 27.</p>
