Here is my current schedule for this upcoming junior year:
Honors Physics
Regular precalc
APUSH
AP English Lang
Vet science
Animal science
Spanish 4H
My goal for next year is to increase my goal a significant amount because it’s pretty low due to this past years math course. I’m wondering if this schedule is impressive enough? Is there anything you’d change? I have to take two animal courses (well not necessarily animal, just agriculture. I could take AP Enviro or animal behavior, etc. do example, because of the program I am in.).
I think that this is good. Based on previous threads I see that you want to get your GPA up. I wouldn’t do anything more challenging than this. Work hard, keep your grades up, and if you do well then I think that you will have plenty of opportunities going forward. The Junior year is the last full year that universities will see when you apply, so keep ahead of your work and good luck and best wishes.
Hey guys, so what do you think if I take physics out for next year and replace it with physiology or something like that…maybe even 2 half semester courses. I’m really scared because physics is a LOT of math and I’m absolutely terrible at math, plus I’ll be talking pre-call (still haven’t decided between regular or honors for that class). I just want to get my gpa up and faking almost 3 math classes may not be the way to go about that… give me your opinions on what I should do??
Thanks so much !!
First, as long as your schedule truly challenges you and supports an upward trend, how “impressive” it is will not matter. If you’re not good at math, I suggest taking Physics after Pre-calculus and when you’re taking Calculus. Also, if you feel you can handle AP Enviro, go for it!! At MY school, I don’t know about yours, it’s one of the less challenging AP courses. Best of luck to you!
