Scheduling begins in less than a month for the upcoming year. Is this too much for me to handle?

AP English Language
AP Chemistry
AP US Government
AP Macro/Micro Economics (semester classes)
Honors Pre-Calculus
German IV

I hear that AP Lang and AP Chem are killers at my school. In the fall I play club soccer and run varsity cross country. In the spring I play high school soccer. Any input is appreciated.

Personally I think APUSH is 10 times worse then AP Lang, but it varies by school. I you are good at science stick with the schedule, if not consider dropping to a lower level science. Overall it seems reasonable.

That’s overwhelming; do keep in mind the AP Exams that you will have to study for (if you take them). & Are you planning on taking any AP class your senior year? If not I’d would advice dropping two of these classes and taking them your senior year.

As a junior who is currently taking all those classes except chem (I’m taking physics), and who also plays soccer and runs cross (wow this is weird) I’m doing fine. I’m pretty sure this year will be the first year I get all As, but I’ve definitely committed more time to school work this year. It doesn’t feel like it though because I find all these classes and their work to be meaningful so I don’t mind doing it unlike past years. These classes (at least at my school) don’t even give that much homework though. Except Chem, I hear its brutal… It’s mostly studying and preparing for in class work. Even during the fall when I’m completely cross obsessed and nothing other than cross matters to me, I still never felt a lot of pressure from these classes or felt like I was falling behind. And I know our captain is taking AP Chem and AP Bio and she’s still amazing and practiced way more than the rest of us and was still getting As in both classes. I say go for it and if you need to possibly drop one class than you can do that.

Thanks for the advice. I am in general chemistry this year and I’m doing really well, and our AP Chem teacher is excellent. The class is just very hard. And I hear that AP Lang is just really time consuming.

In senior year I was planning on this schedule:
AP Literature
AP German
AP Biology
AP Calculus BC
Photography I
Physics I

I have taken APs before. As a freshman I took WHAP, and this year I have APUSH and AP Euro.

@KommAtMeBro That’s really funny that we are doing basically the same thing! :b

I’m a sophomore with 10 classes, 7 being AP. I’m working 24/7. However, you’re taking 6 classes, only 4 being AP. You’ll do fine. Pre-Calc isn’t hard if you pay attention and micro/macro economics is not hard if you pay attention and keep up. I haven’t taken the others yet.
