IU-safety.
The list looks pretty accurate to me.

thank you. im hoping for responses like those cause it took me a lot of time.

You don’t list any ECs but I assumed they were decent.

Reaches are accurate. Northeastern would be a low reach.

Matches are somewhat accurate. Maryland isn’t really a match, it has an average 4.1w gpa and a 1230 SAT is below average. American is the same as Maryland. Boston U shouldn’t be any easier than Northeastern.

Safeties are accurate. IU might not be a safety because the Kelley Business School is very well regarded.

Try to get the SAT score up, particularly the CR section.

Why nt look at baruch? It’s a great business school, if you can get you cr up to 670, you can have a shot at its macaulay honors program which gives free apple laptop, full tuition, and many other benefits. I strongly recommend you check it out, if yo are not admitted into macualay, you will be considered for their local baruc honors, and f not, it’s still a gr8 school, only 5700 tuition in state a year, remember its a GREAT BUSINESS SCHOOL. Avg gpa for honors was over 90s, and sat math and reading combined 1420 or I heard they just like a 1320. They range from 1260-1400. I would again STRONGLY RECOMMEND you look it up: macaulay honors and baruch college. Look up macaulay honors first

I do not think Northeastern is that of a reach. Definetely not the same class as Georgetown.
BU may be high match to low reach.
Other than that, pretty accurate to my eyes.

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1539368-chances-international-student-ivy-league-ivy-level-colleges.html

You have a strong GPA for those reaches, but your SAT is a little low. Try to bump it up to at least 2000. Besides that, your list looks very accurate.

Good luck!

Chance back?
http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1533634-chance-me-harvard-scea-yale-amherst-etc.html

thanks guys. Do i have a realistic shot at any of my reaches because my top 3 schools are Lehigh, Northeastern, and GW in no order

I think you have a good variety there.
I agree with your groupings, though I would say IU would be more of a match based on your SAT score. I suggest that you retake your SAT to increase your chance. You have a good GPA and I assume that you have good EC’s…I don’t think you will have much problem getting into these schools. Good luck!

Chance me, http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1537596-chance-senior-top-tier-schools-ill-chance-you-back.html

Overall, you have a good list of schools in my opinion. You could get into GW if you get perhaps a 1950+ in my opinion. I’m not too sure about Lehigh, but I feel as if you could get into GW if you get the score I mentioned. Your safeties are accurate and so are most of your matches. BU could be a low match in my perspective. Anyway, try to get the SAT up by a little and you’ll be in great shape! Good luck!
Chance me back?: Chance me (I’ll Chance Back!!) JHU, GW, NYU, BU, UVA,UConn, Wake Forest, and Brown

I think you should work on your SAT honestly. Your list is pretty accurate, but you would see a dramatic shift upwards in your chances if you could get that up.

Chance back?
http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1541601-ed-brown-chances.html

thank you guys for the great input. you guys are really helpful and ill be sure to chance you back. What about northeastern though?

Your list looks great, but if you want to study finance, I’d definitely recommend getting that SAT up. Shoot for at least a 700 in math since finance and math go hand in hand and try some subject tests to strengthen your application a bit. Other than that, your list looks very accurate and the time you spent doing this was well-spent.

thank you man. good to hear and thanks for the advice.

IMO, your list should look like this. Yours is pretty accurate for the most part though.

Reaches

  • Colgate University(double legacy)
  • Lehigh University
  • Lafayette College
    High Matches/Low Reaches
  • Northeastern University
  • George Washington University

  • University of Maryland, College Park

Matches

  • SUNY Binghamton(legacy)
  • University of Richmond
  • American University
  • Muhlenberg College
  • Rutgers University
  • Syracuse University
    Safeties
  • Indiana University
  • SUNY Albany
  • SUNY Oneonta
  • SUNY Geneseo
  • University of Hartford

thank you very much for the input.

Seems pretty accurate to me! Although I’m not sure if Northeastern would be a reach for you. I think it could be a high match. And I think American could be a high safety as well. I’ve had friends who had far worse specs than you get in with no problem. Best of luck  and please chance me back http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1542523-chance-me-will-chance-back.html#post16285968
