Thank you!!!

Your ACT score is stellar (top 1%). Great job! With your academic achievements, I’m sure you will get into at least half of the schools on your list. Your ECs are very well-rounded. You seem like you would be a great candidate. Have you taken SATs? Take them, if not.

I would say you have a very good chances at most of them, especially Michigan, Michigan State, Purdue, Notre Dame, and Georgia Tech.

^ Thank you both for your responses! lauren, what do you think about the tougher ones? I’m wondering if acceptances at at least some of them would be probable haha.

I think the tougher ones are just kind of a crapshoot…plenty of people with stats like yours get rejected and plenty get accepted! So it’s just kind of…apply and see. You definitely have good chances at all of them, because you have awesome stats.

Thank you! I’m really hoping the Ivies won’t all be rejections and that they’ll ultimately be worth the effort of applying to!

Just remember: if you need financial aid, applying OOS to public universities doesn’t make much sense. UC Berkeley would probably love you, but is highly unlikely to give any money. And at this point, I’m not sure if paying $50+k/year for a UC is worth it (It’s just gotten too hard to get classes and graduate in 4 years) especially since, with your stats, you could get FA from privates.

Good point…I probably won’t apply! Do you think I have a chance at Pton/ Stanford at all??

I would think the colleges are pretty realistic, the ivies/HYPMS are sporadic as you probably know but I think most of the other schools you have a good shot at. As for financial aid, I’m not too familiar with it so I have no idea

Looks like a good list, with a good range of selectivity levels.

As I’m sure you know, a lot of the schools on your list are reaches for everyone. But since you’ve got good options for safeties and matches, no problem to apply to lots of reaches. And these are pretty realistic reaches for your stats, so you have decent odds of getting into some of them.

MIT might be a stretch but I think you have a chance.

Apparently MIT’s acceptance rate for girls is around 18%…still low, but yeah

Bump!!!

PS: have only taken Math II SAT subject test; got 740 (retaking). Also taking Physics & Chem in October…gonna get 800s on all

Where did you get the idea that those schools don’t count freshman grades?

I didn’t “get the idea.” They don’t. Now can u please chance me

In that case:

I have it on good authority that all schools in existence only look at your As and don’t count the questions you missed on the SAT. So you have a 4.0 and a 2400, and will without a doubt get into every college you apply to.

O I didn’t take SAT so that’s impossible. I have a 35 ACT and 3.9 GPA w/o freshman year/ 3.7 with.

I have friends at/looked up some of these school’s admissions guidelines and that is what they say!!!

I share CollegeBound700’s skepticism… How can you be sure? It seems… highly unlikely.

Because it says on their websites
