16-17 units for your first semester? The first four classes all require substantial amounts of work.

L&S and Haas recommend that freshmen do not take UGBA10 first semester.

chem 1a and math 1b are not a good mixer. seeing as you’re taking 1b, maybe you just didn’t do well enough of your APs or took calc AB in HS, but if you dont have experience in chem, dont mix these two heavy loads.
also, ugba has a paper due every 3 weeks AND a test every 3 weeks (of course, these are out of sync with each other). and R&C courses also ask you to read and write a lot.

basically. just drop chem, and i’d approve of this schedule. nothing wrong with 13 units your first semester.

or just take a fun breadth, like astro c10 (4 units to boot)

Err. :] I found a schedule to rival mine [UGBA 10, Bio 1A/1AL, Econ 100A, Econ C110, English 80k, City Planning 113A, Astro 84]

You should consider dropping one. Preferably Chem 1A. Spring Chem 1A is easier to get a good grade in…A LOT easier. You should be fine with the rest.

May I ask why the science UGBA combination? Another business/science double? :]
