So today I checked the mail and there was a packet from Princeton University. In it contained an app / financial aid info / viewbook. I didn't request the materials. Is this normal (well for a prestigious university as Princeton to do, I mean). I live in NJ if that has anything to do with it hah. I don't know, I'm just curious. Thanks for any feedback!

It's normal

Alright thanks, I've gotten plenty of mail from colleges. But only viewbooks and apps from colleges that I've actually requested stuff from, so I was just wondering.

PS- I love that show!

Yeah it's normal, Yale did that to some of my friends

yeah I got one too.... and i've spent the last 15 minutes racking my brain trying to remember if I requested the info or not. I went to the website to see if the request info looked familiar, but I don't remember filling anything out.... I don't live in NJ btw.

Oh haha okay. I just got one from Williams today too, without requesting anything. I never knew that the top tier schools sent out apps to people who didn't request them.

I also received those from Williams and Princeton, they excited my mom, but she's so ignorant.

rolls eyes

yeah, I've gotten those from Harvard, Caltech, MIT, Yale and a few others without request. I don't know how they determine who they want to send them too. I haven't received one from Princeton though, but there is a suspicion that Princeton doesn't like my high school.

Remember checking that box when you took the PSAT? Be prepared for an avalanche of paper, specifically requested or not.
