The counselor I talked to called the admissions office at the school and told her the list of classes the other counselor wanted me to take ,and the lady from the admissions office at that school said they are only recommended not required.
@ryank1235 - You mentioned wanting to transfer to UCLA or UCSD as a Biology major. You should go on the UC transfer forum and post a question as to how your chances would be transferring from a CC to UCLA or UCSD as a biology major without taking the recommended classes (which are not required…just recommended). You might also want to post that on the UCLA and UCSD forums. I never thought of that, so if I took the recommended courses, I have a higher chance of acceptance?
