is this okay? any advice would be great!

Well, i'm a senior looking to attend UCF. I sent my application and ACT score on august 17th. I was supposed to be given my transcripts on the 24th, but my counsler basically left the school. Someone just received my request form, and I should be getting my transcripts within the next three days. Then, I need to send it in the mail, which will take a bit since I live in Illinois. I don't have very strong stats, which is why i'm applying for summer, and why I wanted to apply early. When does UCF officially start accepting, and is September still considered applying early? Also, would my application almost act as a 'place holders for when my transcripts come in. I guess I mean to say, will applications be looked at in the order they come in? Any answer is great:)

I believe that an application is not looked at until all parts are received. Sept is fine for getting your stuff in, btw. And double-check about how your transcripts are sent. At my kids’ high schools, the transcripts were sent electronically, which theoretically means they will arrive more quickly. With S that happened. With D we had to request for them to be sent twice. For some reason there was a mishap the first time around.

Good luck!

Thanks for the quick reply! My school does not send electronically to out of state, only by mail. We have requested them not the send it, and to let us to do, because they are known for losing many envelopes through out the year, and i’m not willing to take that risk. Thank you!:)

I don’t believe that they will look at your application until it is complete (and your transcript and ACT scores are received). September is still fine but make sure it is in by then. UCF is more generous with admissions in September to October than later.

Thank you! My twin brother (who also wants to attend UCF) is going into our guidance office today to pick up the transcripts, and refuses to leave without them. It’s the last thing UCF needs. Thank you for your help:)

Hello-
Question-
You mentioned that both yourself and your twin brother are applying
together in hope to gain admissions to UCF. During your application
process, was there any mention that both of you guys are applying together ?
I have heard that when twins apply together to the same school, the admissions
committee will give preference in accepting both siblings although one of the
siblings may not be up to standards.
Possibly, you may mention on your application that both of you are applying
and if your brother has a superior application, this may help you or in reverse.
Just a suggestion
Good Luck !

I would probably jump with joy if you were correct. It didn’t ask, no. I’m not sure how they would find out both of us applied. But we just received a conformation for Florida pre paid from UCF, for both my brother and I, so I suppose they maybe put two and two together? If not, then the only way they would know is if someone See’s a boy and girl, with the same age, last name, attend same high school, same parents, etc, would be the only way they would know we’re twins. That would be great, to be honest, because my brother has pretty good stats. We’re worrying about me, mostly. Community service and awards don’t make up for average GPA and scores…
