Is this okay to do in a personal statement?

So my personal statement is about 1100 words. I have 850 words for what I would call my “main personal statement” and then after that about 250 words where I completely shifted from my story that I was telling to addressing something in my application (basically an anomaly that otherwise wouldn’t be explainable).

Is this shift okay? The whole essay is from my perspective, and I feel like the 850 words will get the points across that I wanted them to.

Anomalies in your application should be explain in “Other Information” not in your personal statement.

Alright, it wasn’t clear to me if the “other information” section was more appropriate but now that you’ve said it I tend to agree.
