Is this possible?

alright.

so i dont know if this is possible or not and perhaps someone might know a little more than I do..hopefully.. i would greatly appreciate any input

so when colleges say... required living on campus..how strictly is this enforced? are there exceptions?

heres the deal. my boyfriend is currently living overseas but is going to take off a year before going to college. he plans to work here in the states and would like to live near me (which will be either in durham or providence next year)
is living together a possibility at all?
i understand if i have to technically reside in a dorm but...am i required to live there?

thank you in advance.

Colleges will vary on how strongly they enforce a residency policy, and there is no way to ensure that you're actually staying in the room. But although here are usually some exceptions, your scenario wouldn't be cause for one. Colleges with residency policies want to select students who are totally with their program, and to give a space in the entering class to someone whose priorities are away from the campus, they have take it away from someone who might be inclined to be a full participant in and contributor to campus life.
